The department of electronics & communication engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologists of highest caliber. The department runs under graduate & post graduate programs to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of electronics engineering such as integrated electronics and circuit, Tele-communications, computer technology, control & automation, power system & power electronics.
In addition to the strong undergraduate programs, the department has been playing a pioneering role in producing world class research scholars. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and the department provides adequate opportunities to students and researchers for learning and innovation. The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies.
In digital electronics lab, students study about the logic gates , flip flops, registers, counters, A/D and D/A converter with proper practical training kits.
IN MPI lab, students study about the execution of various program in assembly language. In this lab we have multiple 8085 & 8086 microprocessors kits.
EIM lab & Electrical Workshop lab are very important for engineering point of view. In EIM lab students gain the knowledge about different types of bridges used for measurement purposes. In Electrical Workshop student gain the knowledge about different types of wiring(electrical), household equipments i.e electrical iron, electrical lamps etc.
lab are very basic labs for this course and very important part of engineering. In EEE lab students learn about basic engineering experiments like P-N junction diode and related to semiconductors and different kind of electronics components.
In ET lab students gain knowledge of various motors such as induction motors, synchronous motor, DC motor and their characteristics which can be observed during practical. In addition to this students learn how to operate instrument such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter etc. We also perform practicals of transformer, transmission line such as dielectric strength of transformer oil and ABCD parameters calculation which are very useful for students to work in any industry.
In today's world communication is the major concern in which all the technical based people are taking interest. To communicate now a days is a very easy task and that is all possible because of the new emerging technologies in this field. The communication lab gives the knowledge of the some technologies to the students and confront them with the problems and the remedies associated with this field with the help of which students can have better practical knowledge and it will aid them in their future industrial or academic carrier.
This lab is the basic need of electronic engg. as well as all other engg. branches. In this lab students studied how can convert AC into DC. Students familiar with basic component of electronics that are most properly used in many types pf daily used instrument. Components are Transistor, Diode, LED, JFET, MOSFET etc.
In this lab programming of these subjects is done through the software�s like Xilinx for VHDL Lab & MATLAB for DSP Lab. Research work is also an important part of engineering for the final year students. Students learn much more from these labs with the help of aforesaid software.
In this Laboratory students learn about the audio visual components and their troubleshooting of equipments like Audio recorder & Player, VCD Player, Television System etc.
